two of Steve McQueen's homes (one with a 4200 sq ft airplane hanger) is for sale

The 4,200-square-foot airplane hangar where McQueen kept his car and motorcycle collection and his yellow Stearman biplane is on a Sant Paula ranch of 15 acres with a 3000 sq ft 3 bedroom home.

The asking price is less than half what it recently listed at (1.9mil) and now will sell at .8 million

Steve McQueen's LeMans Saturday on TMC

The greatest race in the world (apologies to Indy, NASCAR & F1 fans), this year's 24 Heures du Mans runs from June 11 to June 12, 2011. Steve McQueen immortalized the race with his 1971 movie "LeMans" (airing on TCM-Turner Classic Movies on Saturday, January 22, 2011.) Jalopnik & Wikipedia report that the movie was not well received at the time and nearly bankrupted McQueen. But it is considered a classic today, very accurately portraying the grueling race and the legendary rivalry between Ferrari and Porsche.

Anyway, cool artists paint box, I've photographed all the pinstripers paint boxes that I've come across so far, and it's very interesting to me to see how each puts their name / logo on them with a bit of lettering and pinstripping
