What can be found in your dad's tool box might surprise you

if you can't see the info on the wrench, it has a number 1 on the left mouth, and the center has T-1917, and the number 2 on the right mouth. Ford Model T wrench. 94 years old.

Brad found it in his dad's tool box, in Australia, and wonders if anyone can give hime more information about it... like what the 1 and 2 nut or bolt were found on the Model T, and if the wrench is a winning lotto ticket if he sells it. Heck, I'd like to know that too!

Steve emailed me to let us know:
According to the forum at http://tinyurl.com/437zenl there were 3 styles of the T-1917 double end wrench. All were 5/8" by 11/16"

They sell everywhere from $5 to $10.

Cool signature gimmick, the Moon Eyes

Lions and bears pulling this cart.. .. makes me wonder how those sheep are dealing with the team mates on the pull

Definite advantage to being able to reach all your engine compartment, and if you've got a tall truck, you might want to consider this, the Elevator

See where his feet are? That's step one, then look at his right hand, that's the lever
It hooks in place, and you are then hovering over the engine bay, able to work without straining your knees backward, or your lower back

I saw the demo guys in action, and sorry that the still photos don't really convey the ease of motion it takes to get comfortable horizontally in place over what would be your vehicle, but it was simple and just two steps to not hurting yourself while spending hours working over your engine.

the ‘Elevator’ has a definite benefit in all automotive repair shops, most certainly in shops that service light duty trucks, SUV’s, 4x4’s, etc. This specialty tool was designed by industry professionals, for use by tradesmen and hobbyists alike. We hope that you too will see the benefits of the ‘Elevator’ in your organization also.

We promote, sell and ship our products online at www.nomadmfg.com. We are also currently looking for established distributors who may be interested in carrying our product(s) in their inventory of automotive tools & equipment.

Duct tape, the wonder tool!

During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME! Thanks Mike for emailing me this! For more photos of the bear damage and what seems to be the source of the photos http://www.armyparatrooper.org/dropzone/showthread.php/22477-The-Many-uses-of-Duct-Tape-in-Alaska

My new favorite rat rod, with lots of custom stuff to appreciate

This looks like its a deep socket on the end of a lug nut wrench... but I forgot to ask

Cool speedometer, doesn't need the needle, 'cause it don't matter how fast it goes
Bitch'n cool tach

Ammo can for a armrest/storage
notice the big wrench used as a shifter

Have a couple big wrenches? Use them for tail light brackets! Brilliant!

Very cool use of a big ammo can for weatherproof storage. I've got one of these big ones myself, it's awesome
