Is this a good photoshop swap? Or a 2nd photo from a good photographer? It's a photoshopped VW over the Stang

AJ scoped it out, and noticed that the bug is not completely hiding the Mustang's front fender
Same exact setting as the bottom photo, and the Mustang is smaller than the VW so it's possible that the vw is photoshopped over the stang

This VW was photographed by Iris Antonio according to the sources of the photo I've found .. but like AJ pointed out, the but is a clever photoshop that didn't quite mask the Mustang

Thanks AJ! "The mustang fender top is still visible in the VW "photo".

there is integral coolness in VW's... but it takes some work to make it show

The above is written up here: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/11/mental-breakdown-1700hp-volkswagen-bus.html

Ever wonder how safe the roads are when old people can't see over the steering wheel? How safe can they drive when looking between the spokes?

Did you notice it's a right hand drive car? WTH?

It's not just me is it? The steering wheel sure looks to be in front of the short one.
Sorry for the lousy quality, but cell phone cameras still aren't as good at long distance shots through back windows as a camera

Anyone know what the red letter "I" are about?

maybe these are just some new "thing" like the "Obey" photos of Andre the giant that were put up everywhere around San Diego

Sidecars and Munsters, what's not to enjoy?

Car of the Day - 2004 Honda S2000 with Microchecked Paint

Today's car is a great little racer, the Honda S2000. This particular car looked faded because it had some poorly done bodywork and paint. The old paint was microchecking. This condition is also known as "lacquer checking." Microchecking means that the paint has started to fail and crack apart. It can be a serious condition for your car that leads to rusting and premature failure of the metal. Maaco-Fremont stripped the car down to bare metal, re-applied primer & repainted the entire vehicle using an economical but high quality enamel.

Frank in the Netherlands needed help identifying this car, what make model and year? Chrisoncars.com knew immediately what it was! Power of the WWW!!

It has a unique hood ornament that isn't in the Hood Ornament ID Guide http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/08/hood-ornament-identifiaction-guide.html

Chris http://chrisoncars.com/ knew exactly what this was

Hi Jesse,
The mystery car on your blog is a ’39 Matford. The Matfords were a joint venture between French maker Mathis and Ford. They came with either V-8/60 or V-8/85 power. I think this one would’ve been a 60 car. There are photos of other Mathis cars that have a more ornate grille. Those probably got the 85s. How I know this shit, I have no idea.
Regards,
Chris

BMW 520d: High Efficiency, High Luxury

Melbourne, Australia —BMW will launch a new 5 Series model in November, powered by a2.0-litre diesel engine. The small and highly economic all-alloy2.0-litre turbo diesel engine joins the throng of other diesel-poweredBeemers currently available in Australia spanning it's small car, medium car, and SUV ranges.

2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept

2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept
Born out of the 2010 LA Auto Show’s Los Angeles Design Challenge, in which automotive designers are given free range to envision the future of transportation, the Biome is meant to blend seamlessly into the planet’s ecosystem. That means all components of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept car are “grown” organically, and it emits pure oxygen and is fully compostable at the end of its service life.
2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept
The basis for the Biome Concept is a vehicle that "grows in a completely organic environment from seeds sown in a nursery." Not only that, but it's powered by a combination of the sun and a chemical bond from an imaginary liquid dubbed BioNectar4534. It's all natural, all organic and all science fiction.
"As the inventor of the motor car, we wanted to illustrate the vision of the perfect vehicle of the future, which is created and functions in complete symbiosis with nature. The Mercedes-Benz BIOME is a natural technology hybrid, and forms part of our earth's ecosystem. It grows and thrives like the leaves on a tree" according to Hubert Lee, Head of the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studios in Carlsbad.

This year the competition had called for the creation of a vision of a safe and comfortable 2+2 compact car featuring good handling and a first-class design, and weighing only 1,000 lbs (around 454 kg/kerb weight).
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept symbiosis vehicle is made from an ultralight material called BioFibre and tips the scales at just 875.5 lbs (around 394 kg). This material is significantly lighter than metal or plastic, yet more robust than steel. BioFibre is grown from proprietary DNA in the Mercedes-Benz nursery, where it collects energy from the sun and stores it in a liquid chemical bond called BioNectar4534.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept is powered by BioNectar4534, which is stored in the BioFibre material of the chassis, interior, and wheels. In addition, Mercedes-Benz has developed a technology to equip trees with special receptors which can collect the excess solar energy and turn it into BioNectar4534. This creates a direct link with nature's energy sources and acts as an incentive to cover mobility energy requirements through more trees and at the same time maintain natural resources.
The Los Angeles Design Challenge is part of the Design Los Angeles conference, taking place from 17 to 18 November 2010 as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
