The above was a young woman named Della Crewe who decided to drive from Waco Texas to New York with her dog Trouble in 1915. It was 5300 some odd miles.

Also notable for being a Harley with a sidecar, ... but these are different sidecars

Edsel ambulance.. thats bizarre

Jim has nailed this ambulance on several perspectives;
What's interesting about this car is that it was made from a sedan, not a wagon, as most ambulances were. This was converted by the Memphian company. Other Edsel ambulances were made by Amblewagon, but they started life as wagons

The 1963 Pontiac ambulance that transported JFK's body after the assasination



This 1963 Pontiac ambulance was used to transport President John F. Kennedy's body from Air Force One following his assassination in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Details: This 1963 Pontiac Ambulance was made in June 1963 and is one of 15 delivered to various service branches. It's U.S. Navy data plate shows it was assigned to Bethesda Naval Hospital. Following President John F. Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963 it met Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base.
94-49196 was used to transport President Kennedy's flag draped casket as well as members of the Kennedy family from Andrews to Bethesda and later to the U.S. Capitol. Following naval service, the ambulance was moth-balled and eventually sold as surplus. It is PHS documented. It was shown at the 2010 Military Vehicle Preservation Association National Convention where it won the Gold Award
